The roller-chain crossover offered as part of the MPL Techma range consists of two integrated transport systems, acting as a roller and chain conveyor. Its task is to change the direction of the pallet or box and transport it to the conveyor, which ensures quick and quiet movement of the goods. Roller-chain crossovers are available in two variants. The box handling device is used to redirect boxes weighing up to 35 kg (size 600 × 400 mm), while the pallet crossover is adapted to work with euro pallets (up to 1,200 kg, maximum size 1,200 × 800 mm). Both systems can be easily adapted to the needs of almost any warehouse. It is worth emphasizing that the system is supported by a PLC-controlled inverter. It ensures the synchronization of individual parts of the system. This allows for a smooth flow of material. Smooth acceleration and braking provided by the inverter increases the life of consumables such as chain, bearings, etc., and thus postpones the need for planned service downtime. In turn, the use of a reliable geared motor, which is controlled in a safe way, will ensure proper movement, e.g. without sudden stops or starts, as is the case with contactors. In this way, we reduce the risk of downtime due to failure, i.e. the so-called unplanned downtime.
